Udi and Gilad Arbiv, twin brothers from northern Israel, were taken hostage during a terrorist attack on their home on October 7, 2020. The hostage situation has been the cause of much anguish and anxiety for their family and friends.
Udi’s brother, Eran Arbiv, has now spoken out about the devastating incident and the pain it has caused. In a televised interview, Eran spoke of his siblings and the horror of the attack.
According to Eran, the terrorist, disguised as a delivery driver, broke into the home and took the twin brothers hostage. Udi, the older of the two, had been out jogging. Gilad, however, was inside the house at the time the attack occurred.
The terrorist threatened to kill Gilad if Udi did not come back. Knowing that Udi would not be in danger if he stayed away, Gilad offered himself up as the hostage. Eran believes this act of selfless heroism saved his brother’s life.
The two brothers were taken to an unknown location and the Israeli Security Agency has been working diligently to locate them and bring them home. Unfortunately, their exact location has not yet been revealed. Eran states that he and the rest of the family have not yet heard from either of them, and the uncertainty has been most difficult to bear.
Eran poured his heart out in the interview, describing how much he and the entire family loves Udi and Gilad and how much they are missed. He begged for their safe return and expressed his sincere appreciation for the efforts of the Israeli Security Agency.
The Arbiv family and their friends are desperate for news of Udi and Gilad, and Eran’s plea for their safe return captures the sentiment of thousands of Israeli citizens. The entire country is praying for the safe return of the two twin heroes.
