Alx Resources Corp. recently completed a successful prospecting program at the McKenzie Lake Uranium Project located in Saskatchewan, Canada.
The program was focused on mapping and sampling the project area in order to better assess its potential. The field program included a series of geological and geophysical surveys as well as soil sampling, which was designed to identify, map and assess any associated uranium mineralization.
Alx president and CEO Jon Goodman was pleased with the results, noting that they “are very encouraged by this preliminary exploration work and the data collected.” He went on to say that they had identified a number of areas that they believe may have potential uranium mineralization and that they are “currently evaluating the optimal approach of further exploration on the project.”
The company plans to complete a detailed assessment of the data to better understand its potential. This is to be followed by additional field work, with the primary focus remaining on mapping uranium mineralization.
The McKenzie Lake Uranium Project covers an extensive, underexplored area in the Athabasca Basin. There are at least five known uranium occurrences in the area, but they remain relatively unexplored. Alx plans to use the data from their exploration program to assess the potential of this underexplored project.
Alx Resources Corp. is a Canadian based uranium exploration and development company focused on acquiring and developing uranium assets in North America. Their primary focus is on identified, advanced-stage uranium projects that have the potential for near-term production. With their successful prospecting program at McKenzie Lake, they have taken an important step in evaluating the potential of this under-explored uranium project.
